Affinity Group Procedures and Guidelines

Affinity Groups are common-interest groups, open to all members of QUUF and those interested in being part of the QUUF community. Their purpose is to connect and build community. Examples of shared interests that congregants have gathered into Affinity Groups are around hobbies (handiworks, painting), activities (reading, walking, cooking, meditating), or a desire to delve into a particular type of issue (politics, science, spirituality, etc.). Some groups meet at QUUF; others meet in people’s homes or other appropriate locations.

Last year we developed a set of Affinity Group Procedures and Guidelines to better support these groups and clarify the procedures and guidelines to minimize confusion and enhance inclusion.

With the start of each new church year, we ask all Affinity Groups to re-apply using the 2024-25 Application Form. Congregants interested in starting a new Affinity Group are encouraged to read the Procedures and Guidelines document and fill out an application form.

If you have any questions, please reach out to the Affinity Group Coordinator Debra Bouchard, 360-774-1904.
