Things I’ve Learned/Re-Learned/Have-Yet-to-Learn, Along the Way

About Jim Golden: Jim, a lifelong Unitarian, joined QUUF in 2001, when he and his wife Kendra moved to Port Townsend. He was on the Board from 2001-2004 with three different ministers. He served as the chair of the Building Steering Committee during the building expansion. After a several year recovery/sabbatical, he is actively engaged again, on the Interim Minister Support team and the Long Range Analysis committee.

His high school yearbook (class of 1965) biography states, “Despite popular misconception, Jim is not a human computer…. Unlike many ‘brains’, Jim owns a developed personality. His artistic inclinations are expressed in his cello playing. His humor, although not universally appreciated, is a great tension reliever…. How can Jim help but succeed?” Heady stuff.

A lot has happened in the last 53 years. Nothing especially dramatic, but enough to provide insights and growth opportunities that have helped him navigate life, and which might be of interest to you. He plans to share them, with a healthy dose of the above-mentioned humor.
