Human civilization has drawn us more and more into the interior of buildings, sheltered from the outdoor environment. We spend most of our lives inside our homes and offices and cars. Outings into natural settings have been relegated to short trips of a few hours or minutes or – sometimes – just a treasured deep, meditative breath in front of an open window. Inherent in each of us, is a longing to reconnect to the natural world, the environment in which we’ve evolved along with the rest of all living things. Let’s learn together how we can find the therapeutic wonder of being at one with Nature.

About Dave Rugh: Dave Rugh has been interested in nature studies since his earliest years. Throughout his life, he has explored, researched, and written about the wild side of this earth – from the Himalayas to America, the Appalachians, Africa, the Arctic, Antarctica, and many other places beyond the letter “A.” Academics have been biology-focused. His career centered on 35 years of documenting whales of Alaska with surveys all the way around Alaska to northwestern Canada. Currently, Dave is closely involved with the Jefferson Land Trust as one of their lead naturalists.
