We know that humans are social animals with a biological need for love. But what exactly is love, as our bodies experience it? How does love help us be healthy in body and mind? And how can we use Buddhist practices of metta (lovingkindness) to increase our capacities for love? We’ll explore these questions from scientific, Buddhist, and personal perspectives, and we’ll practice some metta meditation together.
