We live in challenging times, where hope can feel scarce. Sometimes hope is inauthentic, like forcing a smile. Sometimes, hope turns ugly, as egocentric optimism imposed by the privileged on others. Yet hope can also be a lifeline. How do we get in touch with a deeper and truer hope which can sustain us?
Melody Moberg is a Unitarian Universalist ministerial candidate. She graduated with a Master of Divinity from Seattle University’s School of Theology and Ministry in 2022. She is honored to serve as a guest preacher at Quimper UU Fellowship this year.
