Bridging Service and Child Dedication

As a religious community we celebrate rites of passage. We have an extra-special Mother’s Day service this year coupling both the beginning of the journey as a UU child with our Child Dedication, and an honoring of our older youth as they pass from youthhood to young adulthood, or “bridge.” This year we celebrated three young people in our Bridging Service: Annika Carlson, Rhayne Bates, and Berit Shultz. They shared with the congregation on this point in their lives and honor their transition to adult UUs.
