Our Covenant of Right Relations

Guest blog from the QUUF Healthy Community Team

The Healthy Community Team (HCT) is sharing a link to a revision of our Right Relations Covenant. This includes congregational input from the workshop in January 2024.

We plan to present this Covenant for adoption at the June 2025 annual meeting.  HCT sponsors activities promoting inclusive and compassionate communication.

The Covenant of Right Relations is an important step in clarifying member expectations of being in community and to create a safe environment for all of us. “Covenant” is Latin for “come together” and means a “solemn agreement” or “promise from the heart” regarding a course of action between parties.

Rev. Linda Hart in her January 7, 2024 sermon, How Shall We Be Together said: “It is in community that we are challenged and supported best in this journey with other humans making our way, finding our truths, discovering always how it is to live out what we hold most worthy. Let us continue on with the journey, living compassion, being ever curious, embodying reverence, and offering respect to ourselves, each other, and the wide, wonderful, broken, beautiful world.”

Our HCT Team Members are:  Anne Marie Mende, Hilary Rosen, and Joanna Sanders.
