Many of you have had questions about our organizational structure and the use of “circles” as we go forward. Board members and the minister have been reading together and meeting weekly to discuss this book Policy and Governance by Dan Hotchkiss. There are additional copies available if anyone would like to borrow and read along, as it is likely it will influence our governance structure. We are taking a new look at the circles and our committees, and we will talk about that at the Leadership Assembly on Dec 4.

The Board is drafting a timeline for the Settled Minister search, which we hope to get to you shortly. We are also trying to figure out how to do the work we need to do before calling our senior minister. It is important to integrate that work with the search process so we can gather information, resolve some issues, and not wear us all out! Thank you for the good ideas you have shared with us as we have made our calls to you, our members.
