The Widening the Circle Committee is working to make QUUF a more inclusive and welcoming community. Some are prevented from fully participating in our QUUF activities due to accessibility barriers. For example, difficulties with hearing, physical barriers, vision, mental health, chemical and sensory, developmental, addictions and other hidden disabilities. This new Accessibility Team will work to address these issues. The newly forming Accessibility Team is open to all interested individuals. We envision that this team will include representatives from other teams for the purposes of collaborating and coordinating. For example, the Operations Council can help address physical barriers, the Membership Team needs to be aware of accommodations for accessibility, the Tech Team for hearing devices and the Pastoral Care Team can help identify and address other areas. For more information, please see Accessibility Guidelines for Unitarian Universalist Congregations. Please volunteer your passion, time, energy, secret superpower skills and expertise to our QUUF Accessibility Team.
