The Membership and Belonging Team (formerly Newcomer Outreach) is tasked with involving our entire faith community in welcoming, connecting, and engaging visitors and new members into the life of our Fellowship.  We are committed to fostering inclusive community and helping new members to find their place, bringing their passions into the QUUF Community.

Welcoming (when holding services at QUUF):

  • We provide greeters and an information table for Sunday services.
  • We give everyone a warm welcome; answer visitor questions, and direct them to further information. We encourage all QUUFers to do the same!
  • We coordinate follow-up communications with visitors and maintain Guest-of-Record information.

Connecting:

  • We plan and host New Member Orientation sessions.
  • We introduce new members on Recognition Sundays and encourage our current members to get to know our newest members.

Engaging and Facilitating the Integration of New Members:

  • We provide Mentors for new members (upon request).
  • We coordinate social events such as new member online gatherings and new member potlucks.

The Newcomer Outreach Team (NOT) currently meets the second Wednesday of each month at 3pm.

If you would like to know more about QUUF membership or if you would like to serve as a mentor for a new member or as a member of the Newcomer Outreach Team, please contact our Team Chair Elizabeth Walker.
